AIB India aims to build a resource of people and institutions who are actively engaged in addressing the challenges of globalisation in India. There are many different ways to succeed in globalisation. A country as large as India with more than a billion population, a strong history of diversity, a modest though rather consistent approach in maintaining its democratic credentials, and potential for high economic progress is uniquely placed in the context of global development.
Globalizing for a country such as India with a strong democratic spirit and
with enormous cultural complexity is a challenge that has not been
taken up in any such large country before.
AIB-India hopes to bring together scholars, students, corporations
and activists to a common platform so as to seek answers for the
enormous challenges posed before India's globalization thrust.
